You know what?? PRAISE GOD FOR EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE SOULS. But don't forget that they belong to GOD not to any church, Pastor, disciple, or fellowship. So quit patting yourselves on the back over who has more people -- everyone! -- and just thank God that the Gospel works and is saving folks even when we (the 'saved') are carrying on like fools.

Yes, exactly. God rejoices over one soul save, be they worship at a Baptist, Evangelical Anglican, AoG, PH or ECC church......
There are near 7,000,000,000 souls on the planet of which perhaps there are a couple hundred million professing to be 'born-again' or the like.
That means there are near six billion plus people who don't have Christ so there is more than enough slice of the pie for every evangelical fellowship to go fishin' for.
One 'fellowship' in nothern China has 5 million souls under their wing and they cannot street preaching or do concert scenes and five of their leaders were on death row in 2002. Want to boast about the favour of God!!

One chinese pastor says the the most growth they have ever had is during times of intense heat. Like Alpine said these guys don't street preach, they don't do outreaches, they don't 'evangelise' in the PH sense, they have home group meetings and the light and love of christ in them is what draws people. Only a handful of churches are actually allowed like Samuel lamb's church in Guangzhou (which i went to a couple of times whilst living in China) due to government regulations etc.
A pastor recently mentioned in his sermon, that Jack Hayford (who has 15000 people in church) said that in his 40 or 50 years of ministry (can't remember which) he had only preached 5 evangelical sermons!!!!!!! why? because he understood that his (and any pastors) job was to equip the saints (eph 4). Not teach them how to turn on and off the amps nor to teach them how to use the sound desk or set up an outreach, but to build what he called 'big people' the greek word for 'equip' is 'cartatiso' (forgot spelling) which is to mend, repair, restore. A pastors job is to restore people, fix the broken hearted. If you build 'big people' then they will build the church because they want to.
Now I know that was a bit jumbled and a bit simplistic (welcome to my head) but hopefully you see what I am getting at, it is a total shift from what is mainly taught in PH.

A PH BB Pastor recently asked if we still 'evangelise'! The church we are apart of now reaches out to folks in the community and by our testimony we impact lives around us and invite them to church. People are making decisions for Christ every week. PH has such a works mentality. Tick the right boxes and you are guaranteed a place in heaven and perhaps most importantly a position in ministry. The most important THING is a relationship with Jesus.

There you go, I thought I went witnessing to let people know about Jesus.....let them know that they can make an informed choice, to know The Truth so that they can be set free?
